What do you realistically need?

When I began my digital marketing journey, I was very focused on social media. it was free, easy to use and easy to undo any mistakes. I fell in love. Hard. Here was a huge audience to connect with and I wanted to make a meaningful impact. I was incredibly lucky to have an amazing boss who put me forward for my level 3 training and I haven’t looked back.

When I began my study, I quickly learned that digital marketing was SO much more than social media. The image below from my previous blog post. It was explained to me that while digital marketing is a huge field, there were clearly defined career paths. Given the size of my employer at the time, I barely covered PPC and knew nothing of account management which is usually agency based. I was maintaining the companies websites and handling all content creation and management of the social platforms and this was my comfort zone before I decided to expand my skillset more. Lots of new companies and digital marketers are flooding the sector and if you don’t pick the right marketer, you wont get the results that you want and end up disillusioned with the whole process of moving online at all.

Of course when studying, you have to cover all aspects of digital marketing to pass your course. I have now covered SEO work, email marketing, social platform advert creation and implementation and undertook web design to launch this site. I now can consider myself a good all-rounder, to work with a business looking to expand online. That being said, the best way I can help you is to be clear on what you want to achieve.

Are you looking to simply grow and audience and increase your lead generation? If so, social media is the fastest and cheapest way to achieve this goal. To support this goal, you may need additional SEO work for your website too. If you have a good sized following but want to monitor their behaviour, then data analysis is what you need. This may be from social platform insights or Google Analytics. If your launching a new brand or venture, you may need a Brand Strategist to lead the way or an asset photographer to showcase your company assets.

Its always exciting working my clients to realise their goals. Some businesses can be well established requiring a consult on updated best practices and possible future brand strategy for growth and others are fledgling companies hitting the internet with no digital footprint looking to grow an audience quickly requiring a more hands on approach.

With a free consultation, Defiant can address where you want your company to be and how to get there at minimal cost with realistic KPIs ensuring your getting the best deal for your digital marketing.
