A Pandemic Launch

Launching a business is hard at the best of times but during with more businesses than ever joining the digital marketplace, its imperative to get it right. It may seem obvious to state, but too often I see companies not quite getting it right. So lets examine where people may go wrong…

Branding. It seems so simple. Do you have a logo? Have you sorted your colour scheme? It may seem simple but you want your brand to be instantly recognisable. This means regular posting to ensure people see your brand. Some businesses I see are taking a ‘soft launch’ option to test the market before committing. How can someone have confidence in your brand if seemingly, you don’t?

This of course leads directly to your content. I usually see 2 problems with content online. Particularly with new businesses. By far the biggest I see is a lack of content. When studying for my qualification, my final project was in data analysis involving a business that was undergoing a re-brand. The biggest issue was lack of content. Coca-Cola doesn’t need to post often as its universally recognised. If your a new company, its up to you to grow an audience and content is how its done. Content must be regular and engaging as well as incorporate your branding where possible. This may require some asset photography to showcase your products in their best light.

Rounding out the Big 3 is your marketing strategy. Who are you trying to reach? The digital marketplace is enormous, so who is your target audience? How do you plan to connect with them?? How will your content be aimed at the target audience? What narrative voice does your business have?
